I WANT TO BE EFFY STONEM

Why can't I just be a gorgeous, mysterious, endlessly fascinating and enticing, British girl who can have breakdowns all the time because there are always adorable boys to take care of her? Why do I have to care about stuff I get stressed and feel pressure to work hard?

Some days man, some days.

Our Backyard

The rain definitely has started. Yesterday morning it was raining while I made breakfast and our little yard looked so lovely I had to document it.

This is our little vegetable garden. Although we have not been the best at tending to it. (See the sad looking cucumbers on the right.)

Ok, so it has dawned on me that you can't actually see the rain in these pictures. But whatever, the backyard need some pictures taken of it anyway.

Only 3 more days until Fall break. Only. 3. More. Days.

UGH

Fireworks! (Reed's centennial)

I'm a couple weeks late on this, but the weekend of my birthday was also Reed's centennial celebration, so here are a few pictures from that weekend. Mostly fireworks. Why would I even take pictures of anything but fireworks really?

Molly and Luke just being their cute selves.

The Wall

I finally got around to putting up some pictures on my wall like I meant to do 7 weeks ago. Jebus Christ. Things take me forever.

Anywho, here it is:

(Apologies on the weird lighting, my room, and in particular that wall, gets little to no natural light.)

I like it loads. Plus having decorated walls reminds me of when I visited the East Side Gallery. Here's some of my favorite pictures I took from there:

Mmmmm, I miss Berlin/Germany/Europe. Soon. (Or whatever, I don't actually have any plans to return as of now, but I like to pretend I do.)

And then school happened

We've been in school for five and a half weeks now and the weeks have already started blurring together. I've done little to no crafting or being creative at all, but here's an update on other things we have been up to.

Boyfriend Ian came to visit, and we had a "fiesta" (hence the moustaches).

Molly tattooed me with some important values, such as "nudity" and "frugality." Seems like she has found her calling.

I went to Music Fest Northwest! It was a lovely and warm weekend and was generally a spectacular experience. I went with my friend Will from back home who goes to Lewis and Clark. I saw such amazing bands as Iron & Wine (above)

Joe Pugg...

Horse Feathers...

Blind Pilot (!!!!!!!!!!!)

And Band of Horses. ( I saw The Antlers too, but I forgot my camera that afternoon :( )

Our friends Kevin and Luke had a wonderful cocktail party.

Look at Luke's adorable little bow tie :D

Friends being classy.

Uji and I matching, as we often do at these fancy shindigs.

So things have been a little crazy recently, but fall break is only a week and a half away, so there is most definitely a light at the end of the tunnel. School is going by so quickly this year. Makes me feel old. Oh well.

P.S. I'm writing this at 5 am because I woke up at 1 am and haven't been able to get back to sleep since. Oi, today shall be rough.

Harvest!

One of the coolest things about our little house it that it has vegetable beds in the backyard. Despite the fact that none of us have actually done any gardening, there were already a good number of things growing. Molly and I went out and picked some tomatoes and cucumbers the other day. There turned out to be a lot more than we thought.

Now that we have a ridiculous abundance of tomatoes and cucumbers we are desperately searching for things to do with them. "Cucumber tomato pasta" has been suggested. Thanks Molly.
